The highly-anticipated return of Delano Miami Beach comes March 2026

A landmark in Miami hospitality scene, the Delano Miami Beach, will reopen in March of 2026. The property has been closed since early 2020 for a complete refurbishment after it was sold by SBE to Eldridge. I first discovered the Delano Miami Beach was re-opening through the Instagram stories of one of my favorite hotel editors, Samantha Brooks, who shared some shots of the property during a recent visit. If you are a fellow hotel freak and want to catch glimpses of some of the best hotels in the world, definitely give Sam a follow.

Back to the hotel, it’s now part of Ennismore, who have partnered with Accor—historically one of my favorite hotel groups—and the reopening marks a return to its Art Deco roots. For those following along at home, Accor also now owns the majority share of SBE, so they’ve partnered pretty strategically with some of the most successful boutique brands in the industry.

Originally built in 1947, the Art Deco facade and signature white rooms turned the hotel into a South Beach icon. Located right on the water in an area often called the Gold Coast (not to be confused with the Gold Coast in Australia), bungalows and penthouse suites are part of the 171 room offerings. Last touched in the 1990s by Ian Schrager (see Morgans, Edition and Public hotels, plus more) and Philippe Starck, the new renovation restores key historic components, like the hexagonal pillars in the lobby, and includes four new F&B concepts.

One of those is a reimagining of the Rose Bar, once an iconic spot in town to see and be seen. Other amenities include two pools, a beachfront deck, spa, wellness studio, and a member’s club. You can submit an application for the club here, which comes with a complimentary two-night stay at any Delano (not sure if it’s a one-time or annual perk), and the Founding Member tier is $9,000 yearly plus a $6,000 joining fee. For a more affordable look at the property, book a room for March 2026 here. The starting rate for a one-night booking for April 1st, 2026 was $860.50.
